Plunderer's Haul is a analog game project I took part in with a student group. I was the art designer of the project and worked with other Game Art student in creating art for the game. Additional to creating the 2D Art I was also in charge in developing the analog mechanics of the game.

The game can be played between 3 to 6 people.

A summary of this game is that you and your teammates are adventurers entering the legendary dungeon and whoever got the most gold value of the items they collected wins.

All of the items players collected in the dungeon has value in gold, even the player's starting equipment. The game has it's inspiration from Dungeons and Dragons and Moonlighters, shaping the game into a RPG dungeon crawler but isn't as lengthy.

Players will choose characters that each have different attributes and play the game through rolling dice and discovering rooms with different events, reinforcing the exploration and anticipation dungeon crawlers provide. The items found in the dungeon can be used to defeat the monsters you will encounter . Part of the theme that was given to this project included crafting so we decided to have resources that can be combined with weapons to further strengthen them, further bringing out the RPG element in terms of getting better equipment in progressing your adventure.

When I was in charge of designing art for character and items cards I done the sketching and inking on paper before scanning and final colouring on Photoshop. The final version of the cards would come out slightly pixelated from the printing and give a retro, bit-game RPG feel to the design by accident. The cleaner lines and muted colours I believe works well in fantasy themes took part in bringing my artwork to life.

As one of the first analog games I have worked on it is a great experience working with my group in creating this fun party game and letting others trying it out.
